Reports to MD / OD


Overall Responsibility:

·       To Support the business by developing and supporting our key client accounts. Ensuring the business derives maximum value by negotiating longer contracts, adjusting for increased usage and upselling additional features.

·       The Business Development Associate serves as the key negotiator for high net worth accounts as well as acting as a subject matter expert for contract renewals and upsells.

·       The Business Development Associate will be the primary relationship owner for an assigned group of top tier client accounts with responsibility for retention, value addition and growth.

 

Day to day duties:

·       Be a subject matter expert for contract negotiations and assist the OD with all training ensuring Account Managers can effectively sell / Upsell as required.

·       Lead the negotiation and upsell of our high value accounts onto longer more lucrative contracts.  
Act as the main account management point of contact

·       Prepare implementation plans, demonstrations and pitches to assist the BDM Director with the on boarding of prospective high value clients.

·       Attend offsite pitches, demonstrations and performance meetings with clients where required.

·       Ensure class leading relationships are created and maintained with our top tier accounts.

·       Ensure clients derive maximum value from our services.

·       Ensure retention of business through the provision of class leading service and the inclusion of fixed length contracts at point of sale and renewal.

·       Work closely with clients to identify and fulfil their needs, utilising the scope of their existing package and demonstrating the benefits of additional product services.

·       Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly status and results presentations to internal and external teams (as required).

·       Regularly evaluate the quality of our service and work with the operations manager to implement necessary solutions.

·       Use customer relationships to identify improvements and additions to product features, work closely with management and development teams to implement change.

·       Ensure a deep enough understanding of clients' individual experiences to head off potential issues before they become problems.


Experience and skills required

·       Exceptional contract negotiation skills
Dynamic personality able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences at all levels of a business

·       Exceptional presentation and communication skills

·       A focus on relationships, able to gain trust through communication, expectation setting and completion of planned deliverables

·       Business acumen, sound decision making, analytical and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment; a consultative approach to managing complex client relationships

·       Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, balancing client deliverables on multiple projects as well as internal obligations

·       Strong computer literacy with a working knowledge Microsoft office suite.

·       Ability to work under pressure & exceptional interpersonal skills and resilience
