Our client, is a leading specialist in electrical testing and compliance, offering a wide range of services including Fixed Wire Testing (EICR), PAT Testing, Emergency Light Testing, Thermal Imaging, and LED Lighting installations. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, they are fully accredited by leading industry bodies and specialize in serving large-scale operations, complex testing environments, and multi-site locations. Their established client base spans across various sectors, including hotels, colleges and universities, hospitals and clinics, manufacturing, and large commercial premises.

Due continued success and expansion, they are seeking a dedicated Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in sustaining our growth by driving sales for the business.   This position demands a proactive, technical, and consultative sales approach focused on promoting the benefits of their services to both new and existing customers.

You will be heavily supported by marketing and your appointments will be generated by an internal sales team so you will be a fantastic closer and a polished and well-spoken relationship builder.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management, with a proven track record of success in sales within the Electrical industry. BDM Role and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual new business revenue sales targets.
  • Identify the unique needs and requirements of customers and provide bespoke solutions.
  • Create a robust pipeline of opportunities, exceeding three times the sales target to meet objectives.
  • Generate new business while maintaining and nurturing relationships across a diverse customer base.
  • Demonstrable experience in selling within challenging and technical environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities, with the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Integrity, honesty, and a commitment to providing the best service to customers while representing the company as an ambassador.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
