Reference 657 - National Sales Manager – Drinks / Cognac / Specialised Spirits
Location: UK-based with travel to Cognac, France, and attendance at trade shows- flexible hybrid role to Wiltshire office and London travel.
Salary: £50,000 circa per annum plus 5% commission on all sales & flexible

Our client, has been established for over 35 years ago, has become a distinguished name in the world of fine cognacs and specialised spirits. From their origins selling small-batch cognacs from France, they’ve evolved into a global business offering premier sprits through their 3 company brands. Today, they cater to discerning private clients seeking exclusive, high-value cognacs for investment or unique enjoyment, with orders often exceeding six figures. They have key accounts and trade business too, but this role is for someone who has a real flair for a high value sell and keeping strong international relationships.
To continue driving growth and excellence, they are seeking a National Sales Manager to join their small but close team. This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to work with some of the rarest and finest cognacs in the world while shaping the future of our most profitable business sector. You will have access to a list of clients, a marketing manager to full support your sales activity and a business who is very customer centric.
The Role
- Acquire and onboard new high-value clients.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
- Lead conversion from various marketing channels.
- Create and implement short- and long-term sales plans to achieve ambitious revenue goals.
- Meet and exceed revenue targets, with a focus on upselling and cross-selling.
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Represent the brand at tastings, sales events, and trade shows.
- Collaborate with senior management to align strategies and deliver results.
- What We’re Looking For
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to close.
- Strong business acumen and industry expertise, particularly in luxury wine or spirits.
- A network of key account contacts within the wine or whisky sectors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Methodical, organized, and self-motivated, with a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience working in a similar sales role.
- Full UK driving license (essential).
